Nimrod Antal will be directing this film with Robert Rodriguez as the producer and Alex Litvak (and possibly Michael Finch) have been hired to write the script. The film will come out on July, 7 2010. The film is not a sequel but a reboot. We have no info on the cast yet but Rodriguez said he would like Arnie back in the series. It hasn't been discussed yet but the film will surely be rated " R" Here's some interesting details Rodriguez said about the film: Though the script is not written yet, the plot "involves a very intense group of people stranded on a Predator planet discovering unspeakable horrors (that are not always from outside their group). So like the original movie, the title does have a double meaning". The story is also supposed to be character driven, based on a draft that Rodriguez wrote back in 1994.
- The film is trying to "(get) as far away as possible from the AVP movies". Rodriguez claimed that "As to how this movie will be viewed, one of the guys at Fox told me "No one is ever going to talk about AVP again after this film, I will stake my life on it". |

Eh. I tend to enjoy just about every movie out there. So Predators is definitley no exception.
These "unspeakble horrors" sound interesting. Both from outside AND inside the group ... For some reason, I always thought the Pred's homeworld looked a little similair to the Conehead's homeworld (You know, from Coneheads)

From AvPGalaxy: "The Predators feature film sequel is on for 18 days of filming on the Big Island beginning Oct. 12, confirmed Ron Schmidt, the production’s UPM….
Predators‘ production offices are at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel since several jungle locations will be used all along the Hamakua Coast and many on private property. The 20th Century Fox production’s budget is about $40 million. Big Island officials so far have been unable to estimate how much the film will spend in Hawaii thought other sources said it will be in the millions of dollars and possibly as much as $10 million… |

Howard Berger: "I just saw some photos today and they look absolutely fantastic!”, says Berger, who got his start working with Stan Winston on films like “Predator” and “Aliens”. ‘’Greg [Nicotero] is supervising and masterminding that one. So we're in pre-production on [it] right now...
...we wanted to have the Predator look as it did in the original film. We went back and looked at the original. I actually worked in the shop with Stan Winston on the first film. It was great to be able to go back to the series having not been involved in any of the sequels, and it was also great to be able to make sure we built them as Stan Winston did... They look really fantastic. There's a whole bunch of cool [Predator's] in the film, and everyone's going to be very happy that we've been very faithful to the Stan Winston designs.
